Delete your account

You have two ways to delete your WealthWatch account and all associated data. Either option deletes your account permanently and irreversibly.

In-app (fastest)

  1. Open WealthWatch (iOS or Android)
  2. Sign in if needed
  3. Settings → Account → Delete Account
  4. Confirm the action

Your account and all linked data is removed from our servers within minutes. Database backups containing your data roll off within 30 days.

Email request (if you can’t access the app)

If you no longer have the app installed, can’t sign in, or prefer to make the request in writing, email us:

Please include in your email:

  • The email address associated with your WealthWatch account
  • Confirmation you want all data deleted (the request itself counts, but explicit is good)

We typically process deletion requests within 7 business days and confirm completion by reply email.

What gets deleted

The following data is permanently removed:

  • Your user record (email, name, password hash, preferences)
  • All linked broker connections and OAuth tokens
  • All accounts, holdings, transactions, and dividend history
  • Net-worth snapshots and historical performance data
  • Saved strategy analyses, journal entries, and personal notes
  • Push notification tokens and any session state
  • Stripe / RevenueCat customer records and subscription status

A few things to know

Deletion is irreversible. Once we process your request, your data is gone — we can’t restore it from a backup.

Active subscriptions are not auto-refunded. If you have an active Pro subscription, deletion stops you from accessing the app but does not refund unused time. Cancel your subscription separately via App Store / Play Store / Stripe before requesting deletion if you want a refund.

Backups roll off within 30 days. While the live database row is deleted immediately, our daily encrypted backups retain a copy until their 30-day rotation cycle completes.

Legal retention. A small subset of data may be retained longer if required by law (e.g., tax records, fraud prevention, anti-money- laundering). This is limited to what regulations specifically require and is described in our Privacy Policy.
