Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of WealthWatch (the "Service"), operated by WealthWatch ("WealthWatch", "we", "our", or "us"). By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a legally binding contract to use the Service. By using the Service you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

3. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to:

  • Use a strong, unique password and keep it secret.
  • Notify us immediately at admin@wealthwatch.ai if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
  • Provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.

We may suspend or terminate your account if we believe you have violated these Terms or if your use of the Service creates risk for us, other users, or third parties.

4. Connecting third-party accounts

The Service lets you connect bank, brokerage, and other financial accounts through authorized third-party data aggregators, direct broker integrations, or by importing data manually (CSV, copy/paste). When you connect a third-party account you authorize WealthWatch and the relevant aggregator or broker to access your information from that institution and to transmit it to the Service so we can display and analyze it for you.

You confirm that you are the lawful owner of any account you connect and that you have the right to share its information with us. You may disconnect any linked account at any time from the Settings page. Where applicable, the linked aggregator's own end-user terms and privacy policy also apply to that connection.

5. Not financial advice

WealthWatch is an information and tracking tool, not a financial advisor, broker, dealer, accountant, or tax preparer. All content, analytics, projections, scores, and reports provided by the Service, including net worth, performance, dividends, taxes, contribution room, options analytics, FIRE calculations, and risk metrics, are provided for your personal information only and are not investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice. They are not a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security and they are not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional. You are solely responsible for any financial decision you make.

6. Accuracy of data

We do our best to display your financial data accurately, but the Service relies on data we receive from you, your institutions, and third-party data providers, which may be delayed, incomplete, or incorrect. You should always verify important figures (such as tax reports, capital gains, ACB, and contribution room) against your own records and your institution's statements before relying on them.

7. Acceptable use

When using the Service you agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
  • Access accounts or data that do not belong to you.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except where permitted by law.
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service or breach any security or authentication measures.
  • Use any automated means to scrape, copy, or harvest data from the Service.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or the servers and networks that host it.
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without our written permission.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, branding, and content (other than your own data), is owned by WealthWatch and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. You retain ownership of the financial data you upload or import; you grant us a limited license to host, process, and display that data so we can provide the Service to you.

9. Fees

The Service may currently be offered at no charge during early access. We reserve the right to introduce paid plans in the future. If we do, we will give you advance notice and you will not be charged without your affirmative consent.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AVAILABILITY, OR ACCURACY. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY DATA WILL BE COMPLETE OR ACCURATE.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WEALTHWATCH AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR INVESTMENT VALUE, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU HAVE PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED CANADIAN DOLLARS (CAD $100).

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold WealthWatch harmless from any claim, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from the Settings page. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if continued access creates risk for us or for other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution) will survive.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada, and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will be resolved exclusively in the courts located in British Columbia, Canada, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change we will notify you by email or by in-app notice before the change takes effect. Your continued use of the Service after the change becomes effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.
