We don't make buy or sell calls. CAT is a company; this page runs eight independent valuation lenses (Buffett owner-earnings DCF, Graham Number, Lynch PEG, Greenblatt Magic Formula, Greenwald EPV, reverse DCF, Dividend Discount Model, analyst consensus) and eight quality scorecards so you can form your own view. Read them alongside the price chart and quality scores below.
We run eight valuation models on CAT and show how many read it as cheap, fair, or expensive. Each lens uses different assumptions — DCFs project free cash flow at a WACC-derived discount rate, the Graham Number multiplies sqrt(22.5 × EPS × book value), PEG scales P/E by earnings growth — so the split tells you how much the methods agree, not a single verdict.
We score eight orthogonal angles: Piotroski-style F-score, Altman-style Z-score, profitability, Sloan accruals, balance sheet, dividend safety, capital efficiency, and moat indicators — so a high score reflects real fundamentals, not a story.
Fundamentals (revenue, FCF, EPS, growth, debt, dividends, share count) and the live quote come from cached company filings refreshed every 12 hours, with an automatic provider fallback. The 1-year price chart pulls from our daily-bars cache which is refilled nightly. Technical indicators (RSI, MACD, MAs, breakout state) compute from the same daily bars.
Fundamentals refresh every 12 hours. Quote is live on each page load. Price chart updates daily after market close. Technicals refresh every 30 minutes during trading hours.
