Frequently asked

Is HD a good stock to buy?

We don't make buy/sell calls. What this page does: shows eight independent valuation lenses (Buffett owner-earnings DCF, Graham Number, Lynch PEG, Greenblatt Magic Formula, Greenwald EPV, reverse DCF, Dividend Discount Model, analyst consensus) and eight quality scorecards (Piotroski-style F-score, Altman-style Z-score, profitability, Sloan accruals, balance sheet, dividend safety, capital efficiency, moat). Read them together, look at the price chart, and form your own view.

How is HD's fair value calculated?

Each of the eight valuation models has its own assumptions — DCFs project free cash flow with explicit + terminal growth at a WACC-derived discount rate; Graham Number multiplies sqrt(22.5 × EPS × book value); PEG ratios scale P/E by earnings growth. We show the median fair value, the cheap/fair/expensive count across all lenses, and the per-lens inputs so you can audit any single number.

Where does the data come from?

Fundamentals (revenue, FCF, EPS, growth, debt, dividends, share count) and the live quote come from yfinance with a 12-hour cache and a Twelve Data fallback. The 1-year price chart pulls from our daily-bars cache which is refilled nightly. Technical indicators (RSI, MACD, MAs, breakout state) compute from the same daily bars.

How recent is the data?

Fundamentals refresh every 12 hours. Quote is live on each page load. Price chart updates daily after market close. Technicals refresh every 30 minutes during trading hours.

What's missing from this free view?

Per-symbol trading journal, portfolio-fit analysis ("would this fit my existing holdings"), full options chain with Greeks, multi-leg builder, peer comparison, and the cross-listings table. Those live behind WealthWatch Pro at $5/month.
